ABOUT THE PROJECT
Teknion’s Atlanta showroom provides both a dynamic space and a neutral backdrop that showcases the client’s furniture and demountable wall systems. White “pleated” walls rise from the floor to the soaring 17’ high ceilings, providing dimension and texture that make the most of natural daylight streaming into the showroom. Raw concrete floors are polished to a high sheen and retain their utilitarian simplicity while providing contrast to the walls. Freestanding partitions create visual layers and define zones that allow visitors to focus on individual groups of furniture. A striking orange wall at the back of the space provides contrast as well as a boundary for the showroom’s back-of -house workspace. This project as a collaborative design process with Vanderbyl Design, with tvsdesign as the Architect of Record.
