SAVANNAH INTERNATIONAL TRADE AND CONVENTION CENTER
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Perched on a custom-formed concrete “Y” column, the rotunda sits atop the entrance and in front of the lobby, providing views into and out of the hall. Inside, upper level exhibit spaces wrap around a ground floor field. This field acts as an organizing element for the interior of the facility and is available both for interactive play and special events. This 94,000 sf facility includes exhibit space, the field/ballroom, and retail plus restaurant
space along the street edge. Opened in August of 2014, the Hall of Fame represents the newest approach to museum market, creating highly interactive and integrated architecture and exhibit design. The project is a result of the highly successful collaboration between tvsdesign for architecture and interior design services, Gallagher & Associates for exhibit design, and Cortina Productions for interactive media adapting to the visitors interests. Designed to accommodate after-hours events, the spaces can be transformed to serve a variety of functions and provide a second-revenue stream that maximizes the potential of the technology and infrastructure investment.
