MEMPHIS COOK CONVENTION CENTER-RENOVATION
ABOUT THE PROJECT
Following a 2010 master plan study by tvsdesign, the firm was hired in 2016 to design a complete renovation to the existing Memphis Cook Convention Center. Based upon a series of collaborative workshops with local meeting and banquet planners, the existing stock of meeting, banquet and exhibition spaces is being completely upgraded in terms of guest experience, technology food & beverage and civic presence. Most importantly, the renovation will open the existing building to the Mississippi River with dramatic prefunction and terrace spaces in preparation for the city’s bicentennial in 2019.
